(flourless) chocolate cake
250g unsalted butter, melted
250g caster sugar
5 eggs, lightly beaten
175 dark chocolate, melted
100g almond meal
100g hazelnut meal (or 200g of either)
1.5 tsp baking powder
dutch cocoa for dusting
preheat oven to 190C. line 23cm pan with baking paper, lightly oiled.
beat butter and egg until creamed.
gradually add eggs, beating well after each.
melt chocolate in double boiler, if you haven't already.
combine nut meals and baking powder and mix into butter, sugar, egg mixture.
fold in chocolate.
ovenise for about an hour.
cool (if you can)
dust with cocoa
eat
